ARNELL MILHOUSE

ARNELL MILHOUSE is an tech entrepreneur and computer science educator focused on discovering great problems and utilizing innovative solutions such as AI and Blockchain to solve them entrepreneurially.

 

Mr. Milhouse was selected as one of the Top 25 CEO’s in Rhode Island for the year 2023.

 

Currently Arnell is the CEO of SiliconXL, a RI-based venture capital firm and startup accelerator.   

 

He is also the CEO of DevAccelerator (formerly known as CareerDevs).  DevAccelerator runs a 12 month internship program where they train people to become software engineers earning $80,000 to $100,000 starting salaries.   Since their launch, they have placed over 200 new software developers into careers for a total of $20,000,000 in annual earned salaries.

  

In 2015, Milhouse launched IntraCity Geeks, a revolutionary K-12 STEM education organization, which was recognized by President Barack Obama at the first-ever White House Demo Day. 

 

In June of 2018, he co-founded CareerDevs Computer Science University, which reduces a four-year computer science education into an innovative twelve-month program. Graduates who receive a diploma are guaranteed employment earning $80,000+. CareerDevs is one of the top suppliers of software engineering talent in Rhode Island and the North East. 

 

Milhouse became an Entrepreneur In Residence at the Brown University, Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship and served in that capacity in 2019 and 2020.  Prior to that he was an entrepreneurship mentor in 2017 and 2018.

 

Arnell is a board member for the POC Foundation and has directly assisted scores of organizations in Rhode Island communities of color in receiving tens of millions of dollars.  Mr. Milhouse and his team are also the creators of 501Database.  501Database is the CRM that the POC foundation uses to collect outcomes from partner organizations.

 

Arnell is a TEDx speaker, a Google HQ Talks speaker and is asked to speak all around the country on topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, technology, AI, Blockchain, Quantum Computing, opportunity, equity, and hope.  Arnell is an avid golfer and chess player and spends a lot of his free time on his farm with his wife, children and chickens.

 

Out of everything that he has done, Arnell says that his greatest accomplishment is being married for 25 years to the love of his life, Alicia Milhouse and being the father of two amazing sons, Mathias and Elias.
